The Role
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) ensures suppliers meet quality, regulatory, and company standards throughout the product lifecycle. You will lead supplier qualifications, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and supplier development activities, while supporting New Product Development projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive supplier performance and product quality.
Principal Responsibilities

  • Qualify, assess, and develop suppliers to meet company quality standards.
  • Conduct supplier audits, including system and process audits.
  • Lead root cause analysis related to supplier quality issues and non-conformances.
  • Manage high impact suppliers’ quality issues by coordinating containment actions to minimize impact on production and customers.
  • Identify high-risk suppliers and establish improvement plans
  • Lead sampling activities and validation (PPAP) on different types of projects
  • Participate in design reviews and New Product Development (NPD) activities to preventively identify manufacturing risks, process limitations, and supplier capability gaps before supplier award and/or product launch
  • Maintain successful relationships with supply, engineering, manufacturing, and other departments.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Materials engineering) is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Good communication skill in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Auditor certification/qualification
  • Basic knowledge of APQP methods and tools
  • Basic knowledge of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation
  • Knowledge and competencies about fabrication and stamping processes is a plus
