Overview
In this role you will ensure the integrity of corporate financial data by owning journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis while coordinating with remote partners. You will drive the period-end close and ensure compliance with US GAAP, Local GAAP, and company policies. You will oversee accounting outcomes across multiple teams and support statutory reporting, treasury, tax, and audits. This position sits within a global finance context at a leading nuclear energy company, offering a hybrid work arrangement in Monfalcone and opportunities to shape financial processes.
Responsabilità
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Local GAAP and company policies in all journal booking activities
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual GL journal entries and support month-end close
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with relevant teams
- Oversee accounting outcomes of business processes (Fixed Assets, AP, AR, Project Accounting, inventories, HR payables, intercompany invoicing)
- Ensure timely statutory and statistical reporting (Intrastat, Istat, Banca d'Italia)
- Support Global Treasury activities (bank reconciliations, cash forecasting)
- Support Global Tax with requested financial information
- Support statutory financial statements preparation and audits
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses
- Coordinate with shared services and remote partners to resolve accounting issues during close
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 to 7+ years of accounting/finance experience
- Italian Chartered Accountant preferred or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Experience in global organizations and standardized financial processes
- Experience with Italian GAAP, project accounting, and revenue recognition under percentage of completion is a plus
- Experience in non-transactional oversight roles ensuring accuracy of others' work
- Fluent in Italian and advanced English (C1)
