Our client is a well-established European growth equity investment firm opening in Italy.
As part of its international expansion strategy, the firm is looking for its Investment Director in Italy. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing and developing the firm's local investment platform while working closely with an experienced international investment team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the evaluation of investment opportunities, including financial analysis, commercial assessment, market research and investment structuring.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of entrepreneurs, founders, advisors and intermediaries across Italy.
- Manage due diligence processes alongside external advisors and internal investment professionals.
- Prepare investment materials and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Support portfolio companies in delivering ambitious growth plans, including organic expansion, international development and buy-and-build strategies.
- Work closely with management teams on strategic initiatives such as commercial acceleration, international expansion, M&A and operational value creation.
- Represent the firm within the Italian private equity, venture capital and technology ecosystem.
Experience
- Minimum 7–8 years of experience in Growth Equity, Private Equity or Growth Investing.
- Proven experience executing investments in founder-led and growth-stage businesses.
- Exposure to investments in the tech space is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage the full investment lifecycle, from origination through execution and portfolio management.
- Experience working with entrepreneurs and management teams to accelerate business growth.
