Overview
As a Power Converter Engineer at Vertiv in Castel Guelfo, you will help evaluate new converter architectures and develop power products that meet customer needs and industry standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to define specs, run lab tests, and document designs, contributing to technology readiness and product quality. You’ll apply lessons from prior projects while communicating progress and risks to stakeholders. This role offers hands-on design and collaboration within a global, mission-driven company.
Responsabilità
- Analyze and test future conversion topologies and components
- Conduct lab tests to advance technology readiness and verify performance
- Coordinate with engineering divisions and product offerings to define specs
- Support the testing team in planning and assessing results
- Prepare technical drawings and component specifications
- Apply lessons learned from previous projects to new initiatives
- Report progress, risks, and solutions to stakeholders and management
Requisiti fondamentali
- 3+ years in UPS or power conversion platforms (AC/DC, DC/DC, etc.)
- Proficiency with IGBT, MOSFET, SiC power switches and magnetic components basics
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with engineering design tools and methodologies (Plecs, Spice)
- Strong planning, analytical, and communication skills
- Collaborative team player with solid problem-solving abilities
- Customer-oriented with willingness to travel
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Experience in technical documentation and test procedures
- Proficiency with laboratory measuring instruments (oscilloscope, wattmeter, etc.)
- Proven experience in prototype development, tuning and testing
- Travel required up to 10% (occasional/International)
