Overview
As a Field Service Technician, you will service Vertiv UPS systems, batteries, power distribution, and site monitoring gear to ensure reliability. You’ll build strong rapport with customers, sales teams, and distributors while coordinating with Call Control and your supervisor. You will work safely, comply with ISO 9001:2000 processes, and maintain accurate records and spare parts. This role offers hands-on problem solving, flexible scheduling, and exposure to critical power infrastructure. You will be part of a service team that drives on-site performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsabilità
- Respond to service calls professionally and on duty
- Perform work safely and per codes and company policy
- Manage spare parts using established procedures
- Assist in maintaining planned maintenance completion rate at a minimum of 90%
- Coordinate with call control to schedule and complete work
- Keep customer listing accurate and report site changes
- Follow ISO 9001:2000 processes and safety guidelines
- Maintain company vehicle and issued tools/property
- Work as part of the service team and ensure task follow-through
- Submit timely, accurate daily paperwork and debrief at customer premises when possible
- Be available for weekend and night work and travel as required
- Report sales or service leads to the proper department
- Comply with Export/Import and Supply Chain Security regulations under the company program
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rota and potential international travel
Requisiti fondamentali
- HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in a technical service or test environment of AC Power equipment
- Previous field service experience essential
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
- Self-starter with time management and ability to work under pressure
- Clean valid driving licence
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required
- Good teamwork and ability to work off-hours as needed
