Software Development Engineer – Modelling & Simulation
As part of a period of strong growth, TXT e-Tech, a company within the TXT Group, is looking for a Software Development Engineer – Modelling & Simulation to join the Aerospace & Aviation Business Unit and become part of the Modelling & Simulation team.
The selected candidate will support multiple clients in the simulation and visualization of 2D/3D virtual environments for training applications in the aerospace, defense, and transportation sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Model missions and operational scenarios using Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software;
- Develop models and simulations for sensors (Radar, EO/IR);
- Design and implement architectures for distributed simulation environments;
- Develop custom software solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
- Proficiency in C++ and C# programming languages;
- Knowledge of TCP/UDP protocols;
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE;
- Knowledge of the Qt Framework;
- Familiarity with DIS/HLA simulation protocols;
- Experience with Lua scripting;
- Knowledge of MAK VR-Forces software;
- Knowledge of Bohemia VBS4 software.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

- The expected annual gross salary for this position ranges from EUR 28,000 to EUR 33,000;
- The employment level and compensation package will be determined during the selection process based on the candidate’s profile and in accordance with the Italian National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Metalworking Industry.
