Associate, Outlet Buyer EMEA

Role Overview

This role will support the buying and merchandising processes focusing on the EMEA Outlet channel, helping to curate and manage an exclusive product assortment that reflects the brand’s high standards and exceptional customer experience.

As an Associate Buyer, you will work closely with the buying team to ensure that the right products reach customers through a growing European store network.

Responsibilities

• Participate in building assortments during market and create buying strategies down to classification level.
• Think strategically about SKU productivity and in‑store presentations while assorting the line.
• Gain a strong understanding of the customer through store visits, product performance review, and communication of learnings back to the team.
• Conduct competitive shop analysis and read relevant publications to stay on top of trends.
• Maintain buy plans to ensure accuracy and act as the point person for communication with cross‑functional teams and store employees.
• Execute and initiate in‑season strategies as determined by the buying team.
• Manage markdowns – pricing and store communication.
• Respond to store requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
• Review historical performance at the category and key item level on a weekly basis.
• Partner with planning and senior buyer on receipt plans, margin/IMU targets, and product flow.
• Build cross‑functional relationships and support process and procedural improvements.
• Collaborate with Planning and Allocation on assortment planning, OTB, in‑season strategies and allocations.
• Work with Stores, Marketing, PR, EComm, Visual and Retail Operations to support assortment strategy.
• Partner with merchandising team for balanced assortment and share product feedback.
• Support preparation of reports, pull data necessary to recap business and propose actions to drive sales.
• Maintain accurate warehouse dates and communicate delays in deliveries.
• Understand retail math and participate in open‑to‑buy forecasting with planning.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in buying/merchandising within a luxury or premium fashion environment.
• Minimum 3‑5 years experience in a similar capacity, preferably with an outlet background.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel skills; ability to handle large data sets.
• Experience working in multiple currencies.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player focused on delivering results, with initiative and a hands‑on approach.
• Strong IT and analytical skills; knowledge of SAP and Micro Strategy a plus.
