Overview
In this role, you will design and validate the power subsystem for space systems, translating system-level requirements into robust lower-level specs. You will define the power architecture and interfaces, and assess energy sources such as solar arrays and batteries to ensure performance targets. You will collaborate with subcontractors and clients to drive technical decisions and documentation. This position supports innovative and mission-critical space programs, with opportunities to work across international teams and travel. You will contribute to enabling reliable power systems that support space missions from Torino.
Responsabilità
- Analyze system-level power requirements and derive lower-level requirements
- Define power system architecture and interfaces with power users
- Perform analysis of power sources (solar, battery, fuel cell) for sizing and performance
- Define power system and source test and interface requirements
- Prepare and review subsystem specifications, technical notes, and test documents
- Lead or participate in technical meetings with subcontractors and clients
Requisiti fondamentali
- Experience in power electronic system or power unit design
- Strong knowledge of energy production with solar panels
- Ability to perform power analysis and circuit simulations
- Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, Spice, and related tools
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access)
- English mandatory; French optional
- Willingness to travel medium-term (Italy or abroad)
