Overview
In this role you will lead the end-to-end development of tooling-based termination machines for high-volume wire harness production. You’ll guide cross‑functional teams to translate customer needs into robust, manufacturable solutions that meet quality, cost, and lead-time targets. You’ll apply risk assessment and on-site support to ensure safe and reliable designs, while driving innovation and supplier collaboration. This is a hands-on, impact-focused engineering position at a global technology leader with a strong manufacturing footprint.

Responsabilità
- Lead machine development projects from concept to commissioning
- Act as technical lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams
- Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies and trends
- Develop machines meeting performance, quality, cost, reliability, and lead time requirements
- Collaborate with global suppliers and review supplier designs
- Ensure compliance with CE and other applicable standards
- Lead root-cause analysis and risk assessments including FMEA
- Provide on-site testing, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning support
- Prepare and maintain technical specifications, designs, and detailed drawings
- Review designs for feasibility, manufacturability, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related field; equivalent practical experience
- >3 years of product development and engineering experience
- ≥2 years of industrial automation experience
- Strong mechanical and mechatronic design knowledge
- Experience with risk assessments and leading Design and Process FMEA
- Proficiency with CAD platforms (PTC Creo, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor)
- Advanced proficiency with Windows and Office
- Excellent written and spoken English
