Responsabilità
- Lead development of heat-shrink tubing and sealing products from concept to industrialisation and launch
- Translate customer requirements into robust product specs covering thermal, mechanical, electrical, sealing, and environmental performance
- Develop and optimise polymer-based solutions including single-wall/dual-wall tubing, adhesive-lined products, sealing sleeves, and moulded components
- Design, execute, and analyse laboratory, pilot-scale, and manufacturing trials (extrusion, crosslinking, expansion, moulding, adhesives)
- Drive product verification, qualification, risk assessment, and reliability activities using DFMEA, DOE, statistics, and problem-solving tools
- Investigate root causes of technical/manufacturing issues and implement effective corrective actions
- Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers to ensure successful delivery and launch readiness
Requisiti fondamentali
- Degree in Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of product development experience from concept through qualification and launch
- Hands-on expertise in polymer extrusion and at least one related technology (heat-shrink expansion, crosslinking, adhesive lining, moulding, or compounding)
- Strong knowledge of polymers, adhesives, sealants, additives, and material-process-property relationships
- Experience with product validation, qualification testing, process scale-up, manufacturing transfer, and continuous improvement
- Practical knowledge of DFMEA, DOE, statistical analysis, root cause investigation, risk management, and engineering change control
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers
