Target Travel, a tour operator specializing in tailor-made travel since 1985, is looking for Tour Managers to accompany international groups throughout Italy and Europe on cultural, educational, musical and experiential tours.

The Tour Manager plays an essential role in bringing this vision to life.

Your Role

You will be the group’s main point of contact throughout the journey and the link between travelers, our operations team and the local professionals involved.

We will ask you to do more than follow an itinerary. We will count on you to understand its purpose, coordinate its delivery and contribute to the quality of the overall experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing thoroughly for each assignment, reviewing the itinerary, documentation and group profile in consultation with our team.
• Coordinating the day-to-day running of the tour, working with local guides, drivers, hotels and other suppliers while respecting the itinerary, everyone’s professional responsibilities and safety requirements.
• Taking care of people, communicating clearly, understanding different needs and expectations, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive and respectful atmosphere.
• Handling unexpected situations calmly and promptly, maintaining close communication with our operations team and sharing relevant updates, concerns and feedback.

Who We Are Looking For

Professionals who combine hands-on experience with empathy and sound judgment. People who can lead confidently without being overbearing, remain approachable while keeping a clear head, and work independently without losing sight of the team.

We are looking for:

• Experience leading international groups, particularly travelers from North America or France. Experience with cultural tours, student groups, choirs, bands and orchestras will be especially valued.
• Excellent English and/or French, with the ability to communicate confidently with a group, explain practical arrangements and handle unexpected situations. Please specify the languages in which you regularly work.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, together with punctuality, discretion, professional integrity and attention to detail.
• Availability for multi-day tours in Italy and Europe, along with any professional qualifications or licenses required for the assignments undertaken.
