Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will lead the design and development of scalable APIs and services that integrate with cloud platforms, with a focus on IBM Cloud. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into intuitive interfaces and robust architectures. You’ll guide the evolution of managed cloud services and influence long-term technical direction for IBM Cloud integrations. You will champion code quality, simplicity, and clear data models, while mentoring peers and raising engineering standards. This role offers the chance to shape security-focused cloud platforms at Sysdig, a recognized leader in cloud security.

Responsabilità
- Design and develop scalable backend APIs and services integrating with cloud platforms (IBM Cloud)
- Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Partner teams to define intuitive interfaces
- Evolve Sysdig's managed service capabilities in cloud environments (IBM Cloud)
- Shape long-term architecture and technical direction for IBM Cloud integrations (IAM, authn/authz, service-to-service patterns, resiliency)
- champion quality, simplicity, and clarity in system/API design and data modeling
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, mentorship, and standards elevation
Requisiti fondamentali
- Experience designing distributed backend systems and APIs
- Experience with cloud fundamentals and IBM Cloud specifics
- Experience with IAM and access patterns (OAuth/OIDC, JWT, RBAC)
- Understanding of SaaS operations and Kubernetes
- Development experience in Java, Go, or similar languages
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL data stores
