Role Purpose
The Sales & Design Assistant supports the commercial development of the Paris showroom while assisting in the design and preparation of bespoke rug proposals for architects, interior designers, and private clients.
Working closely with the Showroom Manager and Assistant Showroom Manager and the design team, the role combines client-facing sales support with creative and technical responsibilities, contributing to an exceptional customer experience from initial concept through project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Client Support
- Welcome clients and deliver a refined, personalized showroom experience consistent with STEPEVI’s luxury positioning.
- Present collections, bespoke possibilities, materials, colours, and technical specifications.
- Assist with quotations, project follow-up, order processing, and client communications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, decorators, and private clients.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to showroom sales objectives.
- Design & Project Support
- Produce and adapt rug layouts, color variations, and visuals using Adobe Creative Suite and Corel Draw /assist with CAD drawings and technical documentation for bespoke projects.
- Collaborate with the production and design teams to ensure project feasibility and accuracy.
- Maintain project files, material libraries, and digital assets.
- Showroom Operations
- Maintain impeccable showroom presentation and product displays.
- Coordinate samples, catalogues, and marketing materials.
- Support day-to-day showroom administration and reporting.
- Liaise with headquarters regarding orders, logistics, and project updates.
- Candidate Profile
- Passion for luxury interiors, architecture, design, and craftsmanship.
- Strong aesthetic sensitivity with an eye for detail and colour.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Professional presentation consistent with a luxury brand.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in luxury interiors, interior design, architecture, furniture, FF&E, textiles, or luxury retail.
- Degree or background in Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design, or a related creative field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator).
- Good knowledge of Auto CAD is required.
- Sketch Up is highly desirable.
- Experience preparing client presentations and technical drawings.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office.
- French and English fluency are required.
- Turkish would be a strong advantage.
- Additional European languages are a plus.
