Overview
In this role you design electrical cables for customer specifications, supporting Italian factories within the R&D Design & Cost team. You will build technical packs, BOMs, and routings, while aligning with Product Development and Sales to ensure accurate offers and cost definitions. You’ll engage across functions to translate customer needs into scalable solutions and participate in standards evolution. This position offers opportunities to shape products and processes in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Responsabilità
- Design cables with detailed materials and performance specs using SAP/Common Analysis
- Generate BOMs and manufacturing routings for cables
- Create and update cost lists for stock items
- Define project rules for different cable families
- Own customer offers by compiling technical specs and data packs
- Collaborate with Product Development to prototype designs
- Support manufacturing transfers between plants
- Evaluate technical bids with Commercial and Quality teams
- Interface with factories to implement process changes
- Perform base electrical calculations (ampacity, capacitance)
- Visit customers to understand applications and market needs
- Handle unknown/undefined tasks in collaboration with team
Requisiti fondamentali
- 1–2 years in industrial business with electrical design/production/continuous improvement experience
- Master’s degree in Electrical, Electrotechnical or Electronic Engineering (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of production processes and polymeric/metallic materials
- Strong analytical, planning and teamwork abilities
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a matrix organization and handle pressure
- Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written)
- Previous knowledge of the cable-making industry is a plus
