With a primary focus on Italy, in this role you will be working across highly regionalized and relationship-driven healthcare systems, building the partnerships, evidence and economic narratives needed to influence access, funding and adoption of our technologies.
As the trusted HEMA partner to country leadership, you will bring together health economics expertise, market insight and external advocacy to shape business priorities and create new opportunities for patient access. You will engage with healthcare providers, payers, policymakers, medical societies and other influential stakeholders at both national and regional level. This is a highly autonomous and externally focused role for someone who enjoys shaping markets rather than simply navigating them.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead HEMA and Market Access strategy across Italy and Spain, applying deep knowledge of regional healthcare systems, reimbursement, funding and policy to improve access to priority Olympus technologies
  • - Shape the market for new and existing technologies, identifying access barriers, emerging opportunities and new funding pathways that can accelerate adoption and patient access
  • - Build and influence strategic stakeholder networks across payers, healthcare providers, policymakers, HTA bodies, medical societies and other key decision-makers at national and regional level
  • - Develop compelling health economic and value narratives, translating clinical, economic and real-world evidence into value propositions and tools that resonate with healthcare decision-makers
  • - Lead market access and evidence initiatives, including landscape assessments, advisory boards, stakeholder engagement programmes and economic projects, ensuring alignment with country and EMEA business priorities
  • - Act as the trusted HEMA advisor to country leadership, bringing external market insight into decisions around access, funding, pricing, health policy and commercial priorities
  • - Partner across Commercial, Medical, Clinical and other functions to identify and overcome barriers to adoption and ensure market access considerations are embedded in product and business strategies
  • - Lead market-shaping and advocacy initiatives, working with clinical experts, KOLs and external partners to build support for innovative technologies and influence access, funding and policy decisions
  • - Bring regional and country insights into evidence-generation priorities, identifying the data and economic evidence needed to strengthen access strategies and demonstrate the value of Olympus solutions
  • Strong HEMA, Market Access or HEOR experience within MedTech, with a good understanding of the Italian healthcare, funding and access landscape
  • - Experience navigating Italy’s regionalized healthcare system, with an understanding of how access decisions and approaches differ across key regions
  • - A strong network across healthcare providers, payers, policymakers, medical societies and other influential stakeholders, with the credibility to build advocacy and influence decision-making
  • - Experience in health economics and evidence generation, translating clinical and economic evidence into compelling value stories for healthcare decision-makers
  • - A track record of market shaping, identifying access barriers and developing creative approaches to funding, adoption and stakeholder engagement
  • - A relationship-led approach, with the confidence to engage externally and build partnerships that can influence access and policy
  • - Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands‑on, entrepreneurial mindset and the autonomy to take initiatives from concept through to execution
  • - The ability to work effectively across Commercial, Medical, Clinical and regional teams, influencing without direct authority and bringing a strong HEMA perspective to business decisions
  • - Fluency in Italian and English
