Overview
In this role you will help design, integrate and operate mission control and communication systems for satellites. You will work across the system life cycle with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure reliable TT&C and ground segment performance. You will influence system architecture, interfaces, and operational procedures during critical mission phases. Your work will support continuous process improvement and innovative approaches in mission control.
Responsabilità
- Design high level architecture of the Mission Control System and define core functionalities
- Specify MCS requirements and interfaces, including Space to Ground and Ground to Ground interfaces
- Collaborate with satellite specialists to integrate telemetry, tracking & command
- Coordinate MIB construction and maintenance with input from satellite manufacturers and MIB specialists
- Conduct integration, validation, verification and testing to verify system requirements and performance
- Support real-time operations during launch, LEOP, and commissioning
- Prepare system documentation: specifications, design, technical notes, user manuals, test procedures and reports
- Technical management of suppliers, including SoW and WPD, and review of MCS component deliverables
- Assist operations team to develop and validate operational procedures for command and control
- Participate in periodic technical meetings and contribute to process improvement and innovation
Requisiti fondamentali
- Knowledge of Mission Control System concepts, mechanisms and functionalities
- Telemetry reception/decoding, telecommand preparation/encoding/releases
- Mission Information Base / Mission Database management
- Connectivity with Ground Stations
- Master's degree in STEM disciplines
- Solid knowledge of TT&C principles
- Experience with TM/TC protocols (CCSDS, ECSS) and Mission Control systems (ESOC, SCOS-2000, EGSCC or equivalent)
- Knowledge of ECSS and CCSDS standards
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, C/C++, Java) or Linux environments
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex systems
- Excellent problem solving

- Telemetry reception and decoding (Packet and Parameters)
