Open Position - Location: Turin, Italy (100% Remote Italy)
The Role:
We are experiencing massive growth on our top-tier accounts and we need a Senior Platform Engineer / Architect to step in as a core technical pillar alongside our CTO and Lead Architect.
You will be immediately deployed on high-stakes, high-complexity projects. Your first mission will include leading a massive Platform Engineering initiative for a major US sports league, involving the integration of CastAI across 40+ GKE clusters and the architectural design of a self-service GitOps platform serving 20 different development teams.
Location: Turin, Italy (100% full remote (Italy/Europe))
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Execute: You will architect complex multi-cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure) and then actually build them.
Lead Platform Engineering: Design, implement, and govern advanced GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Helm, GitHub Actions) and Kubernetes architectures
Customer Guidance: Act as the authoritative technical voice in the room. You will interface directly with high-level enterprise architects and development teams, understanding their business needs and translating them into technical reality
Autonomy: Take full ownership of your Story Points. We will give you a business goal; you will figure out the best architectural path and write the code to get there.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Software or Platform Development
The “Hands-on” Architect: You have deep architectural knowledge, but you still love getting your hands dirty. We do not want “paper architects” who only draw diagrams and leave the implementation to others. You must be highly proficient in writing infrastructure as code (Terraform)
Kubernetes & GitOps Native: You have extensive production experience with Kubernetes management, scaling, and modern GitOps deployment strategies
Flawless Communicator: You possess fluent, professional English. You can defend an architectural choice in front of a US-based technical committee without hesitation
Timezone Adaptable: You are flexible enough to manage overlaps with US timezones (East Coast / West Coast) when project phases require it
Independent Problem Solver: You don’t freeze when faced with ambiguity. You research, you propose solutions, and you execute.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential, proficiency in Italian (written and spoken) is nice to have.
Nice to Have:
5 years of practical experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Knowledge of networking concepts and management of Linux systems.
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
