Site Manager Sicily (Open)

As a member of the Asset Management Team, reporting to the Area Manager, you will oversee the safe and optimal performance of renewable energy assets in Sicily, managing contractors to execute planned and corrective maintenance while ensuring health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • HSQE
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel on site and uphold HSQE standards across the wind farm portfolio.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of contractors for QHSE compliance.
  • Document safety incidents, investigate, provide recommendations, and ensure implementation of improvements.
  • Lead emergency planning with regular exercises to verify its effectiveness.
  • Technical
  • Oversee and coordinate site O&M service activities, reconciliating O&M reported metrics and respecting QHSE standards.
  • Operate plant(s) to maximize availability, monitor asset KPIs, and provide daily status updates.
  • Troubleshoot and support investigation of complex technical issues, engaging internal stakeholders to reduce turbine downtimes.
  • Perform site quality inspections, generate reports, punch lists, and ensure remedial work implementation.
  • Operate HV/LV equipment, perform minor corrective maintenance, and coordinate component exchanges under HV safety rules.
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance, manage statutory checks, and minimize asset downtimes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks impacting performance targets and investigate major outages.
  • Collaborate in value‑added projects to monitor asset efficiency and support performance improvement actions.
  • Commercial
  • Deliver works on site within defined budgets while maximizing profitability.
  • Generate PRs/POs for goods and services, manage procurement procedures, and align with corporate platforms.
  • Manage PV/Wind farms in line with budget expectations, communicating variances.
  • Provide inputs to annual budgets for operating and capital expenditures.
  • Focus on performance improvements to enhance wind farm profitability without compromising safety or quality.
  • Contractor Management
  • Maintain high standards in contractor performance and stakeholder engagement.
  • Implement work plans, emphasize efficient generation, and foster relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct frequent contractor audits to ensure contract deliverables are met.
  • Oversee project management to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery with minimal impact on site performance.
  • Reporting
  • Produce monthly operational reports detailing Asset Management activities and site performance.
  • Collaborate with Operational Analysts to address turbine performance issues.
  • Provide inputs for written business cases and special reports for knowledge sharing and technical specification improvement.
  • On‑Call Responsibilities
  • Participate in a rotational on‑call rota and be available for site attendance outside regular hours.
  • Provide remote support when required for DSO/TSO or market agent instructions.
  • Preferred Experience
  • 2–5 years managing PV plants.
  • Experience in wind plants is beneficial.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Clear written and verbal communication at all levels.
  • PV fault analysis and participation in corrective action planning.
  • Strong scheduling and planning skills.
  • Experience with O&M service companies and HV/LV equipment knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Share Point.
  • Managerial skills, contractor and HSQE experience, problem‑solving, autonomy, and community engagement.

Education and Qualifications

  • Educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil construction.
  • 2–5 years of experience within the Renewables Industry.
  • Travel Requirements

Travel regularly (daily/weekly) within the allocated area with potential European travel for training.
