We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Cook for our client based in Milan, Italy, to take care of household chores and able to offer either simple, home-style cooking or more elaborate cuisine, depending on the occasion.
This is a permanent, full-time position, to be filled as soon as possible. Both live-out and live-in arrangements can be considered.
Responsibilities
- General household chores (cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, etc.)
- Laundry (washing, ironing, tidying)
- Managing seasonal wardrobe changes
- Assisting with packing and unpacking
- Stocking the pantry and running grocery errands
- Ensuring the smooth running of the apartment (270 sqm)
- Setting the table for dinners
Preparing simple meals for the family
Preparing refined, elaborate cuisine for dinners or entertaining would be appreciated
- Managing household inventory
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors
- Managing the household budget
- Reporting directly to the owner
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a private household with children
- Versatile, proactive, organized, and dynamic
Enjoys cooking (home-style, with more elaborate cuisine being a plus)
- Friendly and elegant manner, able to maintain good relationships with the existing team (2 Nannies,)
- Flexible, with willingness to travel with the family
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable around pets (small dog)
- Strong sense of privacy and confidentiality
- Italian-speaking with a decent level of English, or English-speaking with some Italian
Work conditions
- Place of work: Milan, Italy
- Contract type: Permanent, full-time
- Schedule: 8 hours/day, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of working a half-day on Saturday mornings
- Live-out or live-in position
€3,500 gross/month (depending on experience)
