Overview
In this role you will lead the project HSE program to achieve excellence in safety, health and environmental sustainability.
You will develop and implement the Project HSE Management Plan and ensure integration into planning, construction and contractor management.
You will monitor site performance, address gaps, and communicate with authorities, management and stakeholders.
You will mentor site managers, drive risk-based improvements, and foster a culture of compliant, safe operations.
- Responsabilità
- Ensure compliance with local HSE legislation and internal HSE standards and principles by integrating HSE into project planning, reviews, design-for-construction, and contractor management
- Develop the site HSE Management Plan and communicate it to project management and contractors, including risk management procedures for training, risk assessment, method statements, lifting plans, permit to work, emergency planning
- Maintain site controls for safe access/egress, signage, and hygiene conditions with emergency medical response readiness
- Implement site risk management procedures and safe working practices for high-frequency risks and high-hazard tasks
- Provide training and coaching to managers and team leaders on risk management, legislation, and duties; support Site Management Team
- Provide guidance and support on HSE matters to managers; leverage internal and external best practices
- Coordinate resources to deliver high-quality SHE support (exposure monitoring, health promotion, health surveillance, training)
- Ensure regular compliance audits and drive continuous improvement through results and lessons learned
- Engage with stakeholders (contractors, unions, regulators, communities, NGOs) to build positive relationships
- Requisiti fondamentali
- Taking ownership of HSE and driving change through personal leadership
- Experience leading HSE in a multi-contractor environment
- Experience in senior HSE roles on significant construction sites
- Translating policies and standards into practical action plans
- Coaching individuals and teams in different environments
- Held line or project management positions
- Effective communication across organizational levels
- Developed and implemented site HSE Management Plans
- University Degree in technical studies; engineering background preferred
- Experience in complex construction sites; multi-contractor HSE management
- Experience translating policies into operational plans; development and implementation of Project/Site HSE Management Plans
- Specific training in Health & Safety or relevant certifications
- Fluency in Italian and English
