Overview
In this role you will support delivery of complex mechanical systems on a major data centre project in Milan, ensuring installations meet safety, schedule, and quality targets. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HVAC, piping, and fire protection systems within a mission-critical environment. The position sits within a project delivery team for a leading European contractor expanding in Europe’s data centre sector. You will contribute to safe site practices, robust documentation, and successful commissioning, shaping a high-value, technically demanding build.

Responsabilità
- Support installation, inspection and commissioning of mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water, pipework, ductwork, fire protection)
- Review drawings, specs, and submittals for compliance and constructability
- Coordinate mechanical works with CSA and electrical teams for system integration
- Monitor site progress and track activities against milestones
- Manage subcontractor performance ensuring productivity, quality and safety
- Assist in procurement via technical reviews and material approvals
- Participate in system walk-downs, pressure testing, flushing, balancing, commissioning
- Ensure compliance with project specs, Italian regulations, and industry standards
- Maintain documentation including test packs, commissioning records, and as-built drawings
- Promote Health & Safety best practices across mechanical activities on site
Requisiti fondamentali
- Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience delivering mechanical works on large-scale construction projects
- Experience on data centre, pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical projects is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, pumps, CRAC/CRAH units, and commissioning processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and managing works to programme
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management platforms
