Overview
As HSE Manager you will lead the Health, Safety and Environmental function on a flagship hyperscale data centre project in Milan. You’ll shape and drive the HSE strategy, ensuring top-tier performance across construction and commissioning phases. You’ll work with the Project Director and senior leaders to foster a proactive safety culture and deliver compliant, evidence-based HSE outcomes. This role offers impact at scale within Europe’s advanced mission-critical developments.

Responsabilità
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the HSE Management System on site
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the project
- Manage and mentor the site HSE team
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client standards, and legislation
- Lead site inspections, audits, and safety tours with timely corrective actions
- Review RAMS and permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses with root cause analysis
- Advise project leadership on HSE performance and improvement initiatives
- Monitor subcontractor HSE performance across work packages
- Produce HSE reports, KPI data and performance metrics for senior management and client
- Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities on HSE matters
Requisiti fondamentali
- Proven experience as HSE Manager or Senior HSE professional within construction
- Experience delivering major data centre or large-scale construction projects
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred; NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate considered with relevant experience
- Chartered or Graduate IOSH membership desirable
- Excellent knowledge of HSE legislation and best practice
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing HSE teams in fast-paced construction environments
