Overview
In this HSE Advisor role, you will drive Health, Safety and Environmental compliance on a major data centre project in Milan, ensuring alignment with company procedures and local legislation. You’ll support the HSE management system, lead site inspections and inductions, and promote a proactive safety culture across the project team. The position offers exposure to mission-critical construction and collaboration with clients and management to deliver safe, compliant operations. You’ll contribute to incident investigations, risk assessments, and continuous improvement within a large European data centre programme.

Responsabilità
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of the HSE Management System on the project
- Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards and drive corrective actions
- Monitor subcontractor safety standards, method statements, and risk assessments
- Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to workforce and subcontractors
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and preventive actions
- Maintain HSE documentation including inspection reports, training records and compliance registers
- Assist in developing emergency response plans and participate in drills
- Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement on site
- Liaise with project management and client representatives on HSE matters
Requisiti fondamentali
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an HSE role on large-scale construction projects
- Experience on data centre or mission-critical projects is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of European HSE legislation and construction safety standards
- Experience reviewing RAMS and conducting site audits and inspections
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence on site
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital reporting platforms
