Overview
In this IT Engineer role, you will join the IT Automation Support Team in Malta to keep robotics and automation lines running. You’ll address incidents, apply workarounds, and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence. You’ll support change requests and test new automation features, contributing to equipment efficiency and robust service delivery. This position offers hands-on exposure to Industry 4.0 practices within a multicultural, innovative environment, with a clear impact on production performance.

Responsabilità
- Handle incidents and requests to restore automation production service on robotics lines; implement workarounds to keep equipment operational
- Analyze issues with structured resolution methods to identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Support manufacturing change requests related to new business requirements and aim to improve equipment efficiency
- Troubleshoot applications like AMA, EICs, and EMCS within the robotics/automation setting
- Apply 8D or similar methodologies to determine root causes and permanent actions
- Test and validate new automation software features ensuring existing functionality remains intact
- Test and deploy new versions of EICs and perform buy-off for new equipment types
- Provide training sessions for key users and maintain comprehensive documentation
- Develop and maintain operating procedures to ensure high-quality customer service within budget and time constraints
- Assist with documentation and SOP improvements to support robust operations
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- Knowledge of PL/SQL
- Experience in robotics and automation within manufacturing (AMA and MCS experience is a plus)
- Willingness to work in a diverse environment and comply with health & safety rules
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Commitment to continuous learning and skill development
- Strong presentation skills and ability to deliver training (advantage)
