Job Summary

Proposal Engineer – Cyber & Security Solutions, based at the Roma Laurentina office.

The role is responsible for identifying, describing and economically evaluating technical solutions and architectures to propose to clients in mission‑critical communication systems, ICT platforms, command and control solutions and cloud‑based services.

Responsibilities

• Identify, describe and evaluate the economic aspects of complex solutions and system architectures for mission‑critical communication systems.
• Coordinate internal functions to define the commercial proposal, starting from system requirements and technical/commercial objectives.
• Prepare and review technical documentation for complex communication and command‑control solutions, highlighting cyber security and digitalization features.
• Support the commercial team during pre‑proposal and proposal stages, including technical presentations, documentation, functional requirement analysis and budget estimation.
• Collaborate with Product Management to define new functionalities or evolved products aligned with the division's strategic plan and market trends.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in Engineering or related Technical Sciences, preferably Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering.
• SENIOR – Minimum of 5 years of experience in structured ICT/Telco/PMR companies, with a focus on Pre‑Sales activities and technical‑commercial customer relations.
• Experience with major technology vendors in networking/cloud, mission‑critical professional communication networks, and 4G/LTE/5G technologies.
• Knowledge of control‑room platforms, AI, micro‑services, and network architecture review.
• Familiarity with redundancy, business continuity and disaster recovery criteria, data encryption mechanisms and cyber security for secure data transport and storage.
• Fluency in English (minimum B2); additional language (Spanish, French or Portuguese) preferred.
• Proficiency in major operating systems (Microsoft, Linux, Unix) and enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP, Teamcenter or Oracle.
• Willingness to travel within Italy, EU and beyond.
