Technical Design Specialist – Greenfield Project

• Support installation, start-up, and operation of modern, highly automated production systems during the launch of a new manufacturing site
• Create technical drawings for design studies of a new greenfield food production facility
• Integrate supplier drawings into the project's main drawings
• Create and organize the BIM 360 project folder structure
• Analyze building specifications, codes, and sites
• Communicate with architects, engineers, and the project team and incorporate knowledge into drawings
• Create, review, and redraft technical drawings from sketches and specifications
• Use CAD software to create drawings with exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and construction details
• Print CAD drawing schematics for architects, construction managers, and structural and maintenance engineers
• Enter CAD data into BIM systems to create 3-D models and renderings
• Design diagrams, maps, and layouts to illustrate workflow
• Prepare drawings, charts, and records using CAD equipment and conventional drafting techniques
• Visit construction sites to take measurements and calculate dimensions as needed
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations
• Keep up with developments and technologies in the drawing environment
• Prepare rough sketches and detailed work using CADD systems
• Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations
• Ensure final designs comply with building regulations
• Identify and communicate potential design problems
• Describe production methods step-by-step, including equipment and software types
• Create manuals describing existing products' operation, features, and maintenance
• Comply with occupational health and safety rules

Requirements

• University Degree in Engineering
• Fluency in English is mandatory
• Italian knowledge would be a plus
• Prior experience at greenfield food industry plant projects as a draftsman will be advantageous
• Advanced proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software in both 2D and 3D
• In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes, and structural analysis
• Ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design
• Ability to stay organized and keep project folders organized
• Very detail oriented
• Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• CV must be submitted in English
