Experience Level: Junior (1–3 years or strong technical background)
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and versatile Junior IT & Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our internal IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining our core IT infrastructure, user workstations, network devices, and automated facility systems.
This is a hands-on position ideal for a tech-savvy individual who enjoys a mix of classic system administration, networking, smart building systems (domotics), and general infrastructure management.
Skills and experience required- System Administration & Domain Management:
- Manage and support Windows Server Domain Controllers (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy).
- Provision, maintain, and troubleshoot domain-joined client workstations and user accounts.
- Manage File Server access rights and ACL permissions.
- Administer centralized antivirus and endpoint security solutions.
- Network & Hardware Support:
- Support and perform basic management of company NAS storage solutions.
- Monitor and maintain core network equipment (servers, switches, routers, and firewalls).
- Manage and configure our VoIP phone system.
- Monitor building integration systems, including security alarms and CCTV video surveillance networks.
- Assist in managing industrial and home automation systems (KNX, Siemens S7-1200 PLCs).
- Monitor and track energy management systems, including HVAC (climate control) and photovoltaic (solar) panels.
- Asset & Facility Technical Oversight:
- Perform routine checks, preventive maintenance tracking, and asset management for critical infrastructure: UPS units, HVAC/AC systems, fire extinguishers, and elevators/lifts.
- Work with external vendors and specialized contractors for physical infrastructure servicing.
- Technical Background
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Core IT Skills:
- Good familiarity with Windows Server environment (Active Directory, DNS).
- Knowledge of NAS systems and ACL permission management.
- Basic understanding of IP networking concepts (routing, switching, subnets, VLANs).
- Familiarity with central antivirus control consoles and VoIP administration.
- Automation & Systems:
- Basic knowledge or exposure to KNX protocols and/or Siemens S7-1200 PLCs.
- Interest in smart building management, solar power systems, and facility maintenance.
- Languages:
- Native Italian speaker (or native-level proficiency, both written and spoken).
- Good professional command of English (both written and spoken).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive \"can-do\" mindset.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage routine equipment audits and asset tracking.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Nice to Have
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Batch) for task automation.
- Driver's license for occasional local intervention or site checks.
