Overview
In this Senior Estimator role, you deliver high-quality technical solutions and bid proposals on time, ensuring alignment with Honeywell standards. You collaborate with sales, operations, and support teams to define fitting solutions and coordinate internal processes. You lead estimation efforts for hardware, software, and services, and may manage a team for complex proposals. You prepare comprehensive proposals and booking packages, and engage with customers through face-to-face meetings to drive successful outcomes.
Responsabilità
- Analyze RFQ and customer documents to define technical and commercial solutions.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and internal support to tailor proposals to customer requirements.
- Identify external (3rd party) content and coordinate with Procurement for offers.
- Coordinate content from other lines of business and support teams to assemble technical and commercial offers.
- Define proposal plan with resources, responsibilities, deliverables, and due dates for estimators.
- Estimate internal content (hardware, software, services) using internal tools; lead a team for complex proposals if required.
- Expedite and coordinate responses from sales, operations, contracts, procurement, and others to meet deadlines.
- Prepare full proposal and costing for Honeywell hardware, software, services, and 3rd party content; include contingencies.
- Coordinate internal processes (Kick-off, Proposal Review, Risk & Opportunity, Global Approval).
- Prepare booking package / handover to operations when project is won.
- Attend face-to-face meetings with customers.
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- >5 years of experience in estimating, selling, or projects
- Microsoft Office and other business-level applications
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of Honeywell portfolio (a plus)
- Knowledge of competitor solutions (a plus)
- Experience with products and solutions in the industrial automation market
- Coordination and stakeholder management
- Team leadership and collaboration
- Effective communication with cross-functional teams
- Estimating and cost modelling for hardware, software, and services
- Internal estimating toolset
- Proposal planning and management
