Overview
As Sales Manager you will drive growth in the railway and urban transport market by developing opportunities and guiding bids. You’ll engage customers and coordinate with cross-functional teams to shape competitive, compliant solutions. This role sits at the heart of Hitachi Rail’s growth initiatives, presenting you with a visible impact across markets and key projects. You’ll work with partners, attend industry events, and help define sales strategy to deliver winning outcomes.

Responsabilità
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic railway markets
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders
- Support bid activities, including market engagement and opportunity qualification
- Contribute to sales strategy, pipeline development and market analysis
- Coordinate with engineering, bidding, finance and delivery teams to shape solutions
- Represent the company at customer meetings and industry events
Requisiti fondamentali
- Proven experience in sales, business development or bid support within railway, transportation or infrastructure sectors
- Strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics and commercial drivers
- Experience with complex tenders, pre-bid activities or opportunity qualification processes
- Ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders to develop business opportunities
- Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Commercial mindset with strong customer focus
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
- Experience with PowerPoint
- Excel
- Knowledge in signalling, digital rail, operation control systems or turnkey transportation projects
