Overview
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software aligned with project requirements, following Hitachi Rail development standards. You will supervise external suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions. You will mentor supplier developers and act as a technical liaison to internal and external stakeholders. This position supports Hitachi Rail’s HMAX development initiatives and operates across multiple Italian sites, offering an opportunity to influence complex, scalable systems.
Responsabilità
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions aligned with project requirements
- Apply company software development rules, coding, testing, and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications
- Oversee and coordinate activities of external software suppliers
- Conduct regular code reviews and supervise progress with corrective actions
- Ensure suppliers meet contractual obligations, quality standards, and schedules
- Mentor supplier developers and share knowledge
- Act as technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Support project management
Requisiti fondamentali
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Spring Boot, and AngularJS
- Relational (Postgres) and timeseries (InfluxDB) databases
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- OAuth2/OpenID Connect authorization frameworks
- Experience with Grafana, Airflow, and Kafka is a plus
- Software engineering best practices (CI/CD, version control, testing)
- Linux OS knowledge (networking, scripting, debugging, integration)
- Familiarity with Azure cloud is a plus
- Supplier management, requirements compliance, and schedule management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
