Overview

As a Control Center System Engineer, you will oversee OCC system integration and the lifecycle of work packages from design to commissioning. You’ll coordinate engineering activities across signaling, SCADA, telecommunications and power systems within the Control Center, ensuring integration, validation and compliance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, safe operations and support customer acceptance. This role offers impact in a fast-paced rail environment shaping control center capabilities at Hitachi Rail.

Responsabilità

  • Manage the full lifecycle of OCC Work Package from design to commissioning
  • Plan and track deliverables, milestones, and resources
  • Report status, risks, and performance to project stakeholders
  • Coordinate engineering activities for OCC systems, including system integration and interface management
  • Ensure integration and standardization of technologies in the Control Center (Signalling, SCADA, GSM-R/FRMCS, power and trackside equipment)
  • Manage requirements identification, allocation, traceability and RAMS activities
  • Support on-site commissioning and entry-into-service phases
  • Ensure readiness and quality of deliverables for customer acceptance
  • Interface with internal departments (Engineering, V&V, Installation, Safety, RAMS)
  • Act as primary customer contact for OCC-related topics

Requisiti fondamentali

  • Knowledge of system integration and interface management
  • Operation Control Center and Traffic Management Systems

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Results-oriented with delivery focus
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Computer Science, or Transport Engineering)
  • Fluent English; Italian or other languages a plus
