We are looking for an experienced automation engineer to join one of our clients' who operate across the oil & gas, renewable and petrochemical sectors.

This is a permanent position to be based in Milan with a competitive salary and full benefits. The description below is to assist our client with advancing their Hydrogen projects across Italy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create automated systems and key pieces of machinery from the design to prototype stage
- Lead the integration of new
- Simulate, program and test the automated machinery to ensure all equipment functions correctly
- Head up the integration of new cutting edge automation technology
- Provide ongoing maintenance to ensure the continuity of operations
- Manage the quality assurance processes for the automated systems, ensuring they meet the specifications
- Oversee all quality processes for the relevant automated systems on compressors & electrolysers, ensuring they meet the guidelines for operation, design & maintenance of all systems
- Work closely with engineering teams to outline the automation strategies & implement key solutions
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, or C++, Python, strong base knowledge of control systems and industrial automation tools
- Experience with software testing, automation management, scripting, and automation frameworks.
- 4 + years' xrdbqlu experience with automation in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Hydrogen sectors
- Bachelor's degree in automation, mechanical/electrical engineering or relevant field
