Overview
In this Medical Science Liaison role, you serve as the primary scientific interface for the Rare Diseases affiliate in Italy, supporting pediatric oncology with a focus on neuroblastoma. You will enable high-quality scientific exchange, education, and field insight generation, collaborating with clinicians and internal teams to align medical strategy with evolving science. You drive evidence-based clinical decision making and foster strong relationships with KOLs and centers. This role combines scientific leadership with compliance-driven communication in a complex clinical setting.
Responsabilità
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchanges with healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate, balanced data communication within policy and ethical standards
- Serve as a trusted scientific partner offering advanced medical education and addressing complex clinical questions
- Deliver high-level medical education tailored to professionals’ needs to support evidence-based decisions in pediatric oncology
- Act as the medical reference for internal and external stakeholders, providing expert disease-area insights
- Monitor the field to identify emerging needs and opportunities, sharing actionable insights with Medical Department
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and leading neuroblastoma centers
- Support generation and dissemination of evidence, highlighting clinical experiences and opportunities for presentations
- Collaborate with Medical Department to address scientific questions from KOLs and centers in medical information responses
- Contribute to medical strategy and field medical plan aligning with the pediatric solid tumor landscape
- Collect and relay field insights on off-label requests, emerging practices, and potential research opportunities
- Plan and execute scientific meetings and Advisory Boards with meaningful scientific exchange
- Provide cross-functional scientific support (Medical, Market Access, Marketing) as needed, including material review
- Deliver high-quality presentations in hospital settings and capture feedback to inform strategy
- Attend national and international congresses, supporting company-sponsored activities
- Model ethical conduct and scientific integrity, ensuring compliance and governance
Requisiti fondamentali
- Medical Doctor or high scientific level degree
- Advanced research experience (e.g., PhD, postdoctoral fellowship)
- Master in Medical Affairs
- MSL experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry (5–10 years)
- Experience in rare diseases and oncology or niche market products
- Experience in an international context
- Positive thinking and enthusiasm
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities
- Medical/scientific expertise in oncology and rare diseases
- Medical Affairs knowledge and governance processes
- Experience with scientific exchange, medical information responses, and evidence generation
