Overview
Senior Programmer/Architect to shape the software architecture for industrial machines, mentoring the team while remaining hands-on. You define coding standards, lead technology choices, and drive performance-oriented solutions across C++ real-time components and C# HMI/coordination layers. You collaborate with electronics, PLC automation, and mechanics to translate specs into robust software. This role reports to the R&D product leader with a dotted line to the Sr. Director of Software Development in Spain. You contribute to PoCs and explore new technologies to boost machine stability, safety, and connectivity.

Responsabilità
- Design and optimize software architecture for control, diagnostics, and supervision of complex machines
- Lead technology choices and establish coding standards to ensure machine stability and safety
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and mentor less experienced programmers
- Explore new technologies and industrial protocols, creating PoCs to improve performance and connectivity
- Collaborate with electronic design, automation (PLC), and mechanical teams to translate specs into robust software architectures
- Serve as a reference point for the team to solve complex software/hardware interface issues
Requisiti fondamentali
- Proven experience in developing application or control software for industrial machines, plants, or complex embedded systems
- Deep knowledge of software-hardware interaction dynamics (I/O management, machine cycles, alarm/ state management)
- Excellent knowledge of modern C++, concurrency, memory management, and optimization for low-level tasks
- Solid experience with .NET ecosystem (Framework + Core) for HMI and supervision services
- Familiarity with industrial protocols and fieldbuses (OPC UA, EtherCAT, Modbus, CANopen, TCP/IP)
- Experience integrating low-level native with high-level managed code (C++/CLI, P/Invoke)
- Experience with profiling, debugging tools, unit testing frameworks, and Git
- Ability to influence team decisions through technical credibility
- Understanding of how code impacts machine behavior and safety
- Structured approach to debugging complex machine anomalies
- Technical credibility and mentorship
- Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams
- Analytical mindset for complex bug analysis
- Modern C++ (real-time, low-level, high-performance data processing)
- Multithreading and memory management
