Overview
As Data Centre Electrical Design Manager for the South Zone, you will lead the electrical design for mission-critical data centres, from concept through construction closeout. You’ll mentor engineers, shape innovative electrical solutions, and ensure high-quality, scalable outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of IT and facilities, driving engineering excellence and value engineering. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient, energy-efficient data centre infrastructure. Your work will support Eaton’s mission to power better lives and sustainable outcomes at scale.

Responsabilità
- Act as Design Manager for data centre projects, leading electrical design from concept to closeout
- Perform hands-on electrical design and own critical design aspects for mission-critical facilities
- Lead multidisciplinary design teams, coordinating engineers and SMEs across projects
- Manage design deliverables, resources, schedules, and quality
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the DC Design & Engineering team
- Develop and enforce electrical design standards, procedures, and best practices
- Review and approve designs, calculations, reports, and specifications; facilitate peer reviews
- Serve as client-facing technical lead in meetings with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Lead value engineering, optioneering, and technical decision-making
- Lead site visits to monitor installation and commissioning; collaborate with PM, commercial, and construction teams
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering for mission-critical facilities
- Experience with MV and LV power distribution, transformers, UPS, and standby generation
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices
- Experience with value engineering and integrating new technologies
- AutoCAD and Revit knowledge advantageous
- Fluent in Spanish and/or Italian and English
- Familiarity with edge computing and AI concepts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
