Overview
In this role you will contribute to building scalable backend services for Deel’s global payroll and HR platform. You will work within a cross-functional Engineering team to plan, design, and deliver robust features and APIs that serve customers worldwide. You will tackle performance and reliability challenges at scale, while maintaining a customer-centric engineering mindset. Responsabilità
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team with frontend, product, design, and QA to deliver seamless experiences
- Participate in product planning from discovery to deployment
- Develop and enhance features, including APIs, with a focus on quality and scalability
- Identify and fix bugs quickly to maintain Deel Speed
- Deliver a customer-centric engineering approach to product quality and reliability
Requisiti fondamentali
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Backend development with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Experience designing scalable systems and handling high transaction volumes
- API development experience with input validation, JWT, and queue-based architectures
- Remote collaboration and proactive communication
- Ownership and autonomy balanced with teamwork
- Clear communication of complex ideas to diverse stakeholders
