About The Role
As part of the strengthening of its quality activities in Italy, our entity BMC is looking for a Finished Product Quality Controller based in Valenza (Alexandria). This position is part of BMC’s industrial environment in Italy, with quality control activities carried out both within BMC’s perimeter and with partner workshops located mainly in the Valenza region, as well as occasionally in the Vicenza region.
Your Role
Within a demanding jewelry production environment, you will be involved in finished product quality control activities to ensure the conformity of pieces and compliance with the quality standards expected by our client Maison, Chaumet. Through your presence on the ground, you will contribute to ensuring a high, consistent, and sustainable level of quality across the entire scope of work.
Job Responsibilities
Production Quality Control

  • Carry out production quality controls directly at suppliers and partner workshops.
  • Control pieces (Accessory Jewelry, Precious Jewelry, and High Jewelry) at the end of production.
  • Perform 100% control or by sampling, according to parameters defined in control tools.
  • Verify the conformity of finished products against the Chaumet Client Maison Quality Charter and associated quality management documents.
  • Evaluate discrepancies, identify and isolate non-conformities, and ensure their treatment in liaison with workshops.
  • Raise quality alerts and monitor corrective actions.
  • Challenge manufacturing workshops to ensure compliance with required quality standards.
  • Control maintenance pieces for High Jewelry stock after workshop repair, as well as certain after-sales service (Care) activities.
Reporting and Coordination
  • Rigorously record results in dedicated control software
  • Draft and send the control reports to relevant stakeholders (suppliers, Chaumet Maison Quality team, and Supply Chain).
  • Conduct structured debriefings with suppliers, including presenting observed non-conformities and defects.
  • Provide periodic reports to the On-site Quality team and the Production Quality Manager, as well as participate in weekly Teams meetings.
  • Inform and report to the Production Quality Manager and various relevant departments.
  • Participate in process and/or product audits (AQP).
  • Contribute to problem-solving workshops.
Continuous Improvement
  • Propose areas for improving quality standards based on daily controls.
  • Contribute to the development process and intervene during transition phases to provide production feedback and clarify quality expectations.
  • Participate in updating the Chaumet Client Maison Quality Charter.
Profile
Profile We Are Looking For Jewelry or technical training (CAP Jeweler, Brevet des Métiers d’Art, or equivalent). Confirmed professional experience of at least 5 years in quality control or workshop in the high jewelry, jewelry, or luxury industry. Excellent product sensitivity and strong quality requirements. Rigor, precision, and attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously in a field-based, multi-site environment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders. Ability to enforce high standards with diplomacy and firmness. Proficiency in Pack Office (Microsoft Office Suite). Indispensable proficiency in Italian and French; English is a plus. Driving license required.
