As Interior Design Director for Italy, you shape the design strategy and execution for luxury hospitality properties, ensuring brand alignment and exceptional guest experiences. You lead creative direction from concept to delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to balance design integrity with operational and commercial needs. You champion heritage-informed, sustainable design while advancing brand standards and global design trends. Responsabilità
- Lead the creative development and execution of interior design projects across the Italian portfolio
- Set design vision, narrative, and guest experience strategy for projects
- Review and approve concepts, FF&E palettes, lighting, artwork, and decor
- Ensure designs reflect heritage, local context, and brand standards
- Collaborate with Project Directors and Construction teams throughout lifecycle
- Oversee design development from concept to close-out and ensure milestones
- Provide design oversight during construction and installation, resolving issues
- Build relationships with General Managers, Operations, external designers, architects, consultants, artists, and suppliers
- Present concepts and updates to senior leadership and project steering committees
- Act as the primary design representative for Italian projects
- Lead review and approval of all FF&E and OSE specifications
- Support procurement strategies to ensure quality, value, and schedule alignment
- Collaborate on supplier selection, prototype reviews, and value engineering
- Ensure procurement decisions align with design intent and budget
- Manage design scope within budgets and support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
- Participate in value engineering while protecting design integrity and guest experience
- Contribute to capital planning and project prioritization
- Monitor global luxury trends and identify opportunities to enhance guest experience
- Contribute to evolving design standards, guidelines, and processes
- Champion sustainability, responsible sourcing, and preservation of heritage assets
- Deliver projects on time, on budget, and on brand
- Ensure high-quality guest experience and design outcomes
- Maintain stakeholder satisfaction and effective collaboration
- Manage FF&E budgets and procurement
- Preserve and enhance each property's unique identity
Requisiti fondamentali
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field
- Minimum 12 years of experience in luxury hospitality, residential, or lifestyle design
- Significant experience managing high-value renovation and development projects
- Strong knowledge of FF&E design, procurement, specifications, fabrication, and installation
- Experience managing external consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Italian and English fluency required
- Highly creative with strong design judgment
- Passion for luxury hospitality and culturally sensitive design
- Strong commercial awareness and decision-making ability
