As Staff Engineer, Project Engineering - Systems, you will lead cross-functional engineering efforts to support bid opportunities, product commercialization, and technical risk management. You act as the primary technical interface across commercial and engineering teams, guiding deal reviews and promoting digital tools to boost efficiency. You will shape solutions for turbomachinery systems and energy projects, while coordinating with global teams to drive risk-informed proposals. This role offers impact through technical leadership, process optimization, and close customer engagement.

Responsabilità
- Serve as the primary technical interface for IET Commercial, AE and DTI during multidisciplinary engineering efforts
- Provide guidance during Deal Review to cover risks and mitigations in bid prep
- Identify CTQ-driven solutions with Application Engineering
- Promote and enable early commercialization of new technologies
- Drive digital growth through improved tool usage and automation to reduce proposal prep time
- Lead risk management across project, program, and site levels and ensure risks are reflected in technical/commercial proposals
- Coordinate with engineering leaders to engage required disciplines for opportunities
- Support New Products & Solutions and System Engineering programs
- Coordinate and coach VDR cross-reference team; oversee prioritization and critical negotiations when needed
- Oversee PCB governance and automation tools for X-Ref, and support ITO/OTR handoffs with PE OTR and INFRA teams
Requisiti fondamentali
- BSc or MSc in an engineering discipline
- Experience in turbomachinery engineering and technology
- Knowledge of energy markets and customer needs
- Experience in multidisciplinary roles (System Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer)
- Understanding of machine mechanical design, systems and auxiliaries design
- Experience in technical risk management (FMEA, HAZOP)
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Entrepreneurial, autonomous mindset
- Fluent in English and Italian; EU work permit
- Willingness to travel internationally
