Overview
As Senior Mechanical Application Engineer, you will lead mechanical input for subsea tenders and early project work, translating client needs into robust equipment concepts. You will act as a technical bridge among customers, commercial teams and engineering, shaping fit-for-purpose subsea solutions. You’ll design and review mechanical layouts, mentor junior engineers, and support risk assessments and design reviews. Your work enables safe, reliable subsea systems while collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver value. Responsabilità
- Lead mechanical engineering input for subsea tenders, studies, and early engagement activities
- Interpret client specifications and translate to compliant, cost-effective technical solutions
- Develop and review mechanical designs, layouts, and documentation for subsea systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, manufacturing, sourcing, commercial and project engineering
- Provide technical support to commercial teams during bid preparation and client presentations
- Ensure solutions meet industry standards (API, ISO), internal practices, and customer requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support risk assessments, design reviews, and lessons learned activities
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in mechanical design or application engineering within subsea oil & gas
- Strong understanding of Subsea Production Systems, including Subsea Christmas Trees, Tubing Hangers and tooling
- Proficient in engineering software (AutoCAD, MathCAD, Teamcenter)
- Experience in requirements management and interface management; proficient in DOORs and SmartPDF
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
