Overview
In this Backend Developer role, you design and implement scalable Python services, focusing on high-performance APIs and data pipelines. You will contribute to Avnet's digital transformation by building data-driven backends and AI/LLM integration work. You’ll collaborate with data, frontend, and business teams to optimize systems and enable robust internal applications. This position offers hands-on work with evolving technologies in a global, cross-functional environment, with opportunities to shape scalable architectures and performance.

Responsabilità
- Design and develop backend services using Python and FastAPI
- Build scalable APIs for internal applications
- Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Design and optimize big data processing pipelines
- Perform and optimize large-scale data transformations using Apache Spark
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data, frontend, business)
- Manage code versioning using GitHub
- Contribute to modern software architecture design
- Optimize system performance and reliability
Requisiti fondamentali
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI
- Experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB
- Strong experience with big data systems and large-scale datasets
- Proven ability to optimize performance of data transformations with Apache Spark
- Experience with distributed computing environments (private cloud clusters)
- Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub or similar)
- Experience building RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of backend architectures and microservices
- High proficiency in English (written and spoken)
