Overview
As Strategic Purchaser at AVL Italia, you lead procurement for complex products and multi-category projects, aligning sourcing with project goals. You act as the purchasing representative in cross-functional teams, shaping strategies and mitigating risks. You collaborate with project management, operations, and category managers to meet technical, budgetary, and schedule targets. You drive cost transparency, value engineering, and favorable contract terms to support business goals.
Responsabilità
- Liaise between purchasing and project teams to align procurement with project goals
- Develop and manage procurement strategies for projects to meet technical, budgetary, and timeline constraints
- Coordinate procurement of critical components and services for complex products/projects
- Collaborate with project management and operations to achieve project objectives
- Provide feedback on supplier performance and adapt category strategies to project needs
- Lead negotiations for project-specific contracts to minimize risk and secure favorable terms
- Interface with operational procurement and order handling
- Support cost transparency and value engineering during planning and execution
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to meet budget goals
- Monitor and report on project-related procurement costs to stakeholders
Requisiti fondamentali
- Minimum 3 years in strategic purchasing in a project-driven or industrial environment
- Experience in automotive, machinery, or systems engineering is a plus
- Proven track record in procurement for complex products or multi-category projects
- Experience with international matrix organizations and multicultural project teams
- Advanced supplier negotiation, contract management, and risk assessment skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and procurement software
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a strong advantage
- Fluency in German and English
