Fast‑Track Graduate Program – Field Service Engineer – Europe
Applied Materials is launching a 6‑month program starting in October 2026 aimed at new graduates to build a career in the semiconductor industry.
After completion, candidates will be based in either Agrate Brianza (MB) or Catania.
Responsibilities
- Represent Applied Materials at customer locations, ensuring accuracy and quality of service solutions.
- Install and support advanced electro‑mechanical and electronic wafer‑fabrication equipment on‑site.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance independently or as part of a team.
- Troubleshoot and eliminate faults systematically.
- Work across technologies such as Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal, Implant, Metrology, and Inspection.
- Program Features
- Theoretical and practical knowledge transfer.
- International placements and on‑the‑job training.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, information systems, or a related field, or a recent graduate.

- Ability to exercise judgment based on data analysis of multiple sources (documentation, schematics, hardware data).
- Problem‑solving skills using various tools to restore machine operation and communicate complex information.
