Overview
As a Software Development Engineer at Alstom, you will develop and test embedded software for railway equipment and diagnostics systems. You will ensure software delivery aligns with QCD requirements and integrate modules into TCMS subsystems. You’ll manage configuration, support test benches, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes. This role offers hands-on technical impact within a global leader in rail mobility, with a focus on reliability and performance of embedded systems.
Responsabilità
- Deliver software according to the defined engineering work package
- Apply Train Control & Information Solutions development procedures and design rules
- Ensure hardware/software configuration traceability and manage design tools
- Design and implement embedded software modules for equipment per requirements and interface specs
- Monitor and report on software development progress and delays
- Integrate software with TCMS subsystems and manage software configuration
- Produce software integration plans and generate progress reports
- Provide support for supplier interface tests on TCMS Test Bench
- Support train integration and validation as requested
- Ensure performance of executable code on target and drive issue resolution
- Share learnings with the Domain Leader and propose process/tool improvements
Requisiti fondamentali
- Hands-on software development experience across requirements gathering, development, and hardware-software integration
- Strong embedded software design and C/C++ implementation for complex diagnostics data management systems
- Linux working knowledge
- Basic networking knowledge (MVB, Ethernet, CAN, RS-232, RS-485)
- Experience with version control (Git) including branching and code reviews
- CI/CD experience including build automation, pipelines, and releases
- Familiarity with software quality and configuration management in an industrial setting
- English proficiency (spoken and written)
