Overview

As a Systems Engineer, Robotics at Allegro, you will blend hands-on mechatronics work with strategic marketing to showcase robotics capabilities. You’ll build and demonstratе humanoid-oriented demonstrations, integrating Allegro’s motor drivers, sensors, and power ICs into robotic subsystems. You’ll evaluate new sensing and power products in the lab and benchmark performance for modern robotics. This role sits at the crossroads of R&D, product strategy, and external demonstrations, with a clear impact on Allegro’s robotics initiatives.

Responsabilità

  • Conceptualize, design, and build meaningful robotics demonstrations (e.g., humanoid joints, dexterous hands) to showcase Allegro’s capabilities
  • Integrate Allegro’s motor drivers, magnetic sensors, and power management ICs into functional robotic subsystems
  • Perform hardware evaluation, calibration, and debugging of new sensing and power products
  • Benchmark system-level performance (control loop latency, torque estimation, sensor accuracy) to meet robotics/humanoid requirements
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Line teams, and external partners to translate lab data into compelling technical marketing collateral
  • Bridge R&D, product strategy, and customer-facing demonstrations as a technical SME
  • Stay current with developments in robotics, embedded systems, and engineering tools
  • Support cross-functional efforts to scale demonstrations and demonstrations-based marketing initiatives

Requisiti fondamentali

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or closely related discipline
  • Familiarity with robotic control systems, kinematics, motion planning, and AI/ML-enabled systems
  • Foundation in circuit design, PCB layout, and electromechanical systems (sensors/actuators)
  • Embedded programming with microcontrollers; experience in C and Python for testing and integration
  • 1–5 years of experience in robotics, mechatronics, or electronics engineering
  • Strong passion for robotics and interest in humanoid robotics
  • Creative problem solver who enjoys brainstorming new product ideas
  • Excellent communication skills to distill lab results into marketing materials
