Our client is a global leader in healthcare innovation, spanning innovative medicine and medical technology, with a strong reputation for developing smarter, less invasive treatments across the full spectrum of healthcare solutions. The Associate Director, Market Access is an EMEA-focused leadership role responsible for developing and executing market access strategies that secure reimbursement and sustainable adoption for the company’s interventional vascular technologies (IVL portfolio). The role also provides targeted strategic support to Market Access leadership across LATAM, Emerging Markets, and the Middle East.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and execute the market access strategy for the IVL portfolio across EMEA, aligned with global, regional, and country business objectives.
  • Assess market dynamics, competitive landscapes, reimbursement policies, and regulatory requirements to identify opportunities and barriers.
  • Partner with commercial, marketing, medical affairs, regulatory, and finance leadership to shape pricing, contracting, and reimbursement models.
  • Drive a business-development mindset across EMEA - identifying and sizing new market entry and growth opportunities.
  • Oversee timely delivery of reimbursement submissions, HTA evaluations, value dossiers, and HEOR/RWE activities across priority EMEA markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with payers, policy makers, healthcare providers, and industry associations.
  • Lead high-impact value conversations with key decision-makers and support senior commercial leaders in external engagements.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • 8-10+ years of experience in market access, reimbursement, or HEOR (medical devices sector and cardiovascular experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience leading reimbursement and/or HTA submissions across multiple countries.
  • Strong business development and commercial acumen, with the ability to build and present financially grounded business cases.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional, matrixed teams across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Strategic, self-reliant, results-oriented, and comfortable operating with a low need for supervision.
