ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Our client is the Italian subsidiary of a leading international group specializing in advanced equipment, products, and digital solutions for the professional technical services market. With more than 60 years of industry expertise, the Group is recognized for innovation, operational excellence, and customer-centric solutions, operating in more than 80 countries with a significant installed base worldwide. The new Managing Director will assume full responsibility for the leadership and management of the Italian business, with strategic, commercial, and operational accountability for delivering sustainable growth, profitability, and organizational development in line with Group expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the local business strategy and ensure achievement of corporate objectives through budget management and performance monitoring.
  • Lead, develop, and support the local organization to achieve revenue and EBIT targets.
  • Manage and further develop the commercial organization, including talent development and key contractual negotiations.
  • Drive sales and marketing strategies to generate new business, expand the customer base, and develop new markets.
  • Analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Act as the primary interface between the local business and Group management, providing market intelligence and strategic insight.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Proven leadership experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector, ideally machinery or service-related activities.
  • Demonstrated success managing a full P&L and delivering ambitious business objectives.
  • University degree in Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration; postgraduate qualifications a plus.
  • Strong commercial experience in capital equipment or industrial solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluent English required; availability for domestic and international travel.
