Overview
As Finishing & Fine Fibers Department Manager you will lead finishing and laminating operations, ensuring safe, efficient production aligned with quality targets. You will oversee the Finishing, Fine Fibers, and Laminator Lines, coordinating workflow from paper to finished product. You will drive safety, performance, and continuous improvement while partnering with maintenance and quality teams. This role offers impact through optimizing processes, reducing waste, and upholding customer specifications in a manufacturing setting.
Retribuzione / Benefits
- salary range: 45.000 - 55.000 gross per year
Responsabilità
- Promote and ensure adherence to safety and legal HSE requirements; lead safety initiatives and training
- Oversee safe, efficient operation of finishing and converting processes across lines (Finishing, Fine Fibers, Laminator)
- Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, and production schedules to meet customer demands
- Monitor performance, optimize utilization, and drive corrective actions; support maintenance for reliability
- Manage quality to meet customer specs; collaborate with Quality and Production to address non-conformities
- Lead staffing, training, performance reviews, and succession planning in the department
- Drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and cost-saving initiatives; participate in capital projects
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in paper manufacturing, converting, finishing, laminating, or packaging
- Knowledge of paper finishing, converting and laminating operations
- Understanding of packaging systems, reel handling, and production logistics
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working proficiency in English and Italian
