Overview
In this role you will establish and drive ABB Robotics' global License Management and Software Asset Management (SAM) capabilities. You will shape governance, policies, and processes, and lead end-to-end license lifecycle, optimization, and compliance across the organisation. You’ll manage key vendor relationships and oversee tools and data to support scalable, compliant software usage. This is a high-impact, global position offering opportunities to influence IS governance and drive continuous improvement in license management.
Responsabilità
- Define and drive the global License Management strategy, governance framework, policies, controls and processes
- Lead end-to-end software licence lifecycle and optimisation (entitlements, usage, demand, renewals)
- Own licence compliance and audit readiness (reconciliations, risk identification, remediation)
- Manage licensing relationships with major software vendors and support renewals and licensing terms with Sourcing, Legal, and Vendor Management
- Ensure quality and effective use of License Management tools and data (ServiceNow SAM Pro or equivalent) including reporting and process automation
- Partner with IS, Sourcing, Legal, Finance and business stakeholders to embed license management practices across the organisation
- Develop licensing strategies aligned with business goals and monitor licensing and regulatory developments
- Provide licensing expertise, drive continuous improvement, and manage escalations
- Global scope with cross-functional interaction across regions and functions
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), software licensing, or IT/IS Vendor Management with global exposure
- Strong knowledge of software licensing models, licence optimisation, compliance and vendor audits
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro or comparable platform
- Experience with major software publishers and complex enterprise licensing models
- CSAM, ServiceNow CIS-SAM/ITAM or relevant certifications an advantage
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
