Overview
In this role you will act as a design authority for an electrical discipline and lead commissioning activities for data centers and power systems. You will support field service engineers during project commissioning and ensure work aligns with specifications, quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards. The role includes configuring and testing PLC/HMI, relays, and control systems, and participating in SAT/FAT with customers. You’ll join a high-performing team within ABB’s Electrification division and help deliver critical power solutions at scale.

Responsabilità
- Lead commissioning of data centers, paralleling switchgear, and power automation systems
- Support field service engineers during project commissioning
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot PLC/HMI, relays, and control systems
- Conduct and support site acceptance tests, factory witness tests, and FAT with customers
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality, safety, and cybersecurity policies
- Mentor junior engineers in high-pressure situations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones
- Travel up to 50% (domestic and international) to client sites
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, or related field
- 7–10+ years of field service engineering experience focusing on datacenter power systems, paralleling switchgear, and automation/PLC systems
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, protection & control, and critical power applications
- Hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting of PLC/HMI, relays, and control systems
- Familiarity with UL standards (UL1558, UL508A) and power system testing practices
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers in high-pressure situations
